What are the characteristics of a fibrous joint? Examples?

A

These joints are fixed and allow no movement

Examples = Cranium, Sacrum, Coccygeal

A

These joints are slightly moveable

Examples = Between the individual vertebrae

A

These are freely moveable joints. The shape of bones determines the range of movement.
Examples = Elbow (hinge), Shoulder (ball & socket), Thumb (saddle)
