Classical Era/Period/Age (600 BCE- 900 CE)
Period of time in which complex civilizations expanded to establish large land empires and were more interconnected through trade than earlier civilizations. These civilizations made great contributions to our collective learning as a result of golden ages marked by prosperity. Most of the major belief systems that still impact our world were established during this time.
How did civilisations became more interconnected during Classical Era?
Civilizations became wore interconnected during the classical Era through trade networks. The Silk Road linked East Asia to the Mediterranean Sea Complex, facilitating the exchange of silk and spices. Cultural exchanges such as the spread of Buddhism from south Asia to East Asia impacted society. The interconnected network of overland and maritime routes facilitated the exchange of goods, ideas and cultures between East Asia and Middle East. In conclusion, the classical era impacted cilizations by expanding trade networks, cultural exchanges and the establishment & development of important trade centers.
