Levels of Care and what it is
Primary care: First point of consultation of all patient within the healthcare syst. (check-up, vaccination, family doctor, clinic/clsc)
Secondary care: Involve refferal to a specialist at the hospital for closer assessment/tx
Tertiary care: Complex surgery, neurochir, palliatif care, cancer care, transplant, psychiatry…
Quaternary: Experimentals tx or procedures
RUIS (reseau universitaire integre de sante)
Facilitate specialized care, medical education and medical research
CLSC (centre local de services communautaires)
Wide range of services: Routine health & social services, Preventive or nursing services, rehab/reintegration. public health activities.
GMF (family medicine groups)
