Q

Pathophysiology of renal bone disease?

A
  1. ↓ 1α-hydroxylase → ↓ vit D activation → ↓ Ca → ↑ PTH
  2. Phosphate retention → ↓ Ca and ↑ PTH (directly)
  3. ↑ PTH → activation of osteoclasts ± osteoblasts
  4. bone resorption
