No because Jesus brought the new covenant, that updated the old one making many of the Old Testament laws redundant
What is a central Christian ethic that Christians draw from the book of Genesis?
God created the universe and all life and we should love and cherish it to show respect to God.

‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’
