chpater 4 . biomechanics Flashcards
newtons first law (angular motion)
the angular momentum of a body remains constant unless action upon by an external torque
newtons second law (angular motion)
a torque applied to an object will produce a change in angular motion in the direction of the applied torque that is directly proportional to the size of the torque.
newtons third law (angular motion)
for every torque there is an equal and opposite torque
torque
angular motion is caused by an eccentric force, which is caused when the force doesn’t go through the COG. this causes an object to rotate.
angular distance
the sum of all angular chnages
angular displacement
the initial position compared to the final position
angular speed
angular distnace divided by time.
angular velocity
velocity is the rate of change of angular displacement divided by time.
angular acceleration
change in speed measured in degrees ,and can be positive negative or 0.
projectile motion
any object travelling through air is projectile.
affects:
- gravity
-air resistance
-friction
- drag force
