①screening → developed to detect at rick individuals or those who may haveproblems of clinical magnitude
② case formulation/ diagnosis
③ prognosis (prediction- future course of disorder based on use of assessment data in combination with relevant empirical literature

What are the different kinds of error’s made in prediction?
① false positive - predicted an event but did not occur
②false negative- dial not predict an event but it occurred
What is a test?
An evaluative device/ tool that obtains an examineas sample of behaviou and later evaluates the score using standardised methods.
Difference between testing and assessment?
① testing-involves collecting info on a certain aspect and then interpreting & comparing with others ( basically numbers).standard scoring/norms.
② assessment - multifaceted involving integration of info from multiple sources and informants, case history family, history..→ standardized texting part of process (maybe).
What are some of the qualities of a psychological text?

What are the psychometric conditions takin into account?
① standardisation → consistency amongclinicians an how to administer, score and conduct a test. Helps in replicating test results.
② reliability→internal consistency/inter-rates reliability / text-retest reliability, influences are in a test. Reliability should be considered imp in terms of context (purpose & population ). Varies with diff stages of life to one test. fit all
③ validity: text measures what it purports to measure
④norms: meaningfully interpreting results from client using warms a specific criteria. Impossible to know precise meaning without warms.
What are the ethical considerations to be made in clinical assessment?
①informed consents client willingly gives approval to take ‘ part in the assessment but not the case in all situations like court orders so provide as much info you can& pr . esent the client with results
② limits to confidentiality when the situation is life threatening er violent then psych has to break code
