Keep food fresh for longer by slowing down the growth of bacteria. Also used to keep vaccines cold.
How can electricity improve public health?
Hospitals in developing countries rely on electricity eg for X-ray machines. Without access to these machines the diagnosis and treatment of patients would be poorer and could reduce life expectancy
How are communications affected by a lack of electricity?
No electricity = no internet/phones which means it’s harder for people to stay in touch, or for people to send and receive news/information
