Explain the most important things about climate in chile

A

The climate is warm mediterranean, with a warm, dry and sunny growing season enabling ripening and avoiding fungal diseases.
Irrigation is often needed m, but water is in short supply.
El Nino can lead to more rainfall while la Nina can lead to drought.
The cold Humboldt current flows up from the Antartica and generates cool winds inland and fogs, mainly where the coastal mountains are lower.
In the foothills of the Andes coal air descends overnight causing high diurnal range.
In the Central Valley between the coastal mountains and the Andes the climate is more sheltered (riparato) and the ground is flat and easy to cultivate.
