Give a conclusion to the study
There is a signifcant correlation between childhood relationships and later relationships.
This is due to the internal working model and its role as a basis of relationship
Give one strength and weakness of the sample used
- Used both males and females
- All adolescents used were from the North East
Give one strength and weakness of the reliability of the study
- All researchers worked in groups - high inter-rater reliability
- Didn’t carry out any previous trials - all done first time
Give one strength and weakness of the application of the study
–Can be applied to psychological research into maternal deprivation
-Socially sensitive - blames parents for the behaviours of their child
Give one strength and weakness of the validity of the study
- Measured what it intended to - high internal validity
- Only quantiative data
Give one strength and weakness of the ethics of the study
- All participants were kept confidential
- Social sensitivity - lack of protection from harm as it may be a sensitive subject
