How do you find how many electrons are there in an element?
It is the same number as protons/the atomic number
What are noble gases?
They are inert elements that are located in the last column of the periodic table. They have a full outer shell.
What is a mass number?
It is the weight in grams of one mole of the substance. This is called the relative atomic mass and is relative to carbon 12
What is a solution?
A solution is a mixture composed of two or more substances
What is a mixture?
a material system made up of two or more different substances which are mixed but are not combined
What is kerosene and what is it used for?
Kerosene is a hydrocarbon fuel that is extracted from petroleum an is used to power jet engines and aircrafts.
What changes the reactivity of an element?
It depends on the amount of electrons in the outer electron shell and what the ionic charge of the metal is.
What is Xa^b ?
The a at the bottom stands for the atomic number and the b at the top stands for the atomic mass
What is a condensation polymer reaction?
Condensation polymers are any kind of polymers formed through a condensation reaction
What are carbon nanotubes?
They are products of nanotechnology and are stretchy, stiff, strong carbon lattices that could make robots that are able to function in extreme conditions.
