‘What I Follow’
Combines all the feeds from all the people and things that I follow (I can follow up to 500 things)
‘To Me’
Combines all the posts where I’m mentioned—as long as I can access those feeds
‘Bookmarked’
Combines all the posts that I’ve bookmarked
‘Company Highlights’
- Uses Einstein artificial intelligence (AI) to do a little relevance ranking in the background - It brings me a ranked view of what’s trending in my org (Top Posts)—again, I see only the posts that I can access
- This is the default feed that I see when I first visit the Chatter tab
- After I’ve followed 10 things, my default becomes the ‘What I Follow’ feed
‘My Draft’
Holds my ‘Saved’ draft posts until I’m ready to publish or delete them
Streams
Super feeds that I create by combining feeds from all kinds of objects
Recent Groups
- Super feeds that I create by combining feeds from all kinds of objects
- I can use this to easily get to the groups I visit frequently
Chatter’s ‘Feed’
- Found in the center of the ‘Chatter’ tab
- Can do a ton of things from this tab, including:
1. Lively and evolving discussions between myself and all the people I work with
2. Post to a person’s profile
3. Ask questions of a knowledgeable group
4. Talk about a particular record, like an account, in view of the record’s details
2 Types of Searches in Chatter
- ) Global Search
2. ) Feed Search
Global Search
- Searches the entire org and returns only the results that I can access
- With this, I can limit my search to the type of object that I want to find
Feed Search
- Lets me look for results from the current feed
- Offers a great way to find that vital bit of information that’s buried in an active thread
5 Things Profiles Lists Display
- ) Teams that I’m a member of (which link to the team record)
- ) People who I follow (which link to their profiles)
- ) People who follow me (which link to their profiles)
- ) Groups that I’m a member of (which link to those groups)
- ) Files that I’ve uploaded (which link to file previews)

Sharing a post on Chatter
Go the Chatter post that you want to share and click the ‘Share’ icon: 1.) To share the post with a group, select ‘Share with Group 2.) To share the post on your profile page so that my followers see it, select Share with Followers 3.) To copy a link that goes to the detail view of a post, select Copy Link
For ‘Share with Group’ only: In the ‘Group Name’ field, enter the name of the group to share this post with, and select the group from the results – in the editor, add any remarks that I want to publish with the shared post – click ‘Share’
Muting a Post
Stops Chatter from sending e- mails that announce when people act on a post that I’ve interacted with (liked, commented on, or bookmarked)

Groups
- Main collaboration space in Chatter
- A collection of members united by a common project, cause, or interest
- I can set up a cross-collaboration group with members from both Graphics and Marketing

- I can create a group for a sales team working a common region
- The point of a this is to offer a space for talking about a specific subject with others who are interested or involved with it
- For example, you can set up a group for a team that delivers graphics to your Marketing department
- These can be private or public, and private ______ can be listed or unlisted
- Unlisted ______ are not returned in searches and require invitations to join
- Both listed and unlisted private ______ can either include or exclude your customers
- A _____ has its own feed where members collaborate around their central purpose
- In _____ feeds, people share information, post updates, and ask questions
Public Groups
Anyone in the company can join this, post and comment, and add files
Private Groups
Only the members of this can post and comment and add files
Unlisted Groups
- Hidden from everyone except the members of the group
- Only the members of this type of group can post and comment and add files
- NoteAdmins can enable these types of groups in my org’s Chatter Settings
Broadcast Only groups
Group owners and managers can create posts; other members can comment
Streams
Allows Users to view lots of different feeds in one feed
Personal Digests
Include the updates that I see in my own Chatter feed, such as updates about the people, records, and files that I follow
Group Digests
- Include the updates that I see in a particular group’s Chatter feed
- I can choose to receive digests on a daily, weekly, or limited basis
