What is the definition of addiction?

A

The NHS definition of addiction is not having control overdoing taking or using something to the point where it could be harmful to you. The PPS definition of addiction is defined as a psychological and/or physiological dependency on a particular substance or event.

Salience – when an addictive activity has become the most important thing within an individuals life
