Definition of crime
According to researches criminal behaviour is an act prohibited by law and punishment by the state, an action considered to be violation of moral or religious code, an action violates norms of society, and action that can cause serious psychological stress and damage to a victim
Behaviours are social construct
Arguably, however, criminality is a behavioural construct for example research Augies that is likely that most people have demonstrated several criminal behaviours for example being noisy neighbours dumping rubbish and vandalism. It can be argued that not all criminal behaviour is wrong . For example Nelson Mandela was arrested and convicted for conspiracy to overthrow the state of South Africa because he campaigned against racial prejudice and the government supported racial segregation and discrimination. This example it can be argued that criminal behaviour is a social construct and decision of what is morally right is decided by different societies
