What is the function of a Nerve cell?
It’s function is to carry electric impulses.
How is a nerve cell adapted for this function?
It’s long.
Describe how a sperm cell is adapted for it’s function?
It has a long tail, helps it to swim- stream lined head, contains half genetic information.
How can you tell that the sperm cell is an animal cell not a plant cell?
Doesn’t have a vacuole, doesn’t have a cell wall and doesn’t have a chloroplast
Substances can move in and out of cells, how can they do this?
Oxygen enters cells by the process of diffusion. It moves from an area of higher concentration to an area of lower concentration.
Give one factor that affects the rate of movement of oxygen into and out of cells?
It will have to go down a concentration gradient.

In what type of animal cell would you find a lot of mitochondria?
Sperm cell, muscle cell, liver cell very active.
What does a eukaryotic cells have that a prokaryotic cell doesn’t?
A nucleus.
