A

bedford cautious as he didn’t want to provoke charles by impeaching wentworth, scots declared there would not be peace until the bishops wars had ended and wentworth was dead, army plot and protestation oath unfolding, charles ordered officers to return to army in the north - made people thinking he was planning to dissolve parliament or use the army against them

A
