Greece is a peninsula . It is surrounded on 3 sides by water

How did mountains affect the location of Greek settlements?
Because mountains cover much of Greece, people settled in the flat areas along the coast and in river valleys.
Travel across the mountains and seas was difficult so communities were isolated
To what regions did Minoan and Mycenaean traders travel?
They traveled to Asia Minor (Turkey), Egypt, and to the islands of the Mediterranean and Aegean Sea
