believe women have the right to reproductive freedom
what is maternal death?
- death of a women while pregnant or within 42 days of terminating the pregnancy from any cause related to the pregnancy
- Doesn’t count deaths from accidental causes

what is maternal mortality rate?
number of mothers who die per 1000 live births in a given year
what is preconception and preconception care?
- preconception: before the baby is conceived
- Preconception care: medical care provided to women of reproductive age before a baby is conceived
what is prenatal and prenatal health care?
- prenatal: before the baby is born
- Prenatal health care: med care provided to a pregnant women from time of conception until birth occurs
what are low birth weight infants?
baby that’s born that weighs less than 2500 grams or 5.5 lbs @ birth

ppl w/ bachelor’s degrees usually get prenatal care within their first trimester
what is SIDS/crib death?
sudden unanticipated death of an infant in whom after examination there is no recognized cause of death
what is OECD?

- Group of 34 rich countries and discuss and develop social and economic policy
how does norway rank in terms of child wellbeing and health?
