When are SVFR operations authorized?

Answer 1

SVFR operations in weather conditions less than basic VFR minima are authorized:
*only when lateral boundaries of class B, C, D, or E surface areas, below, 10,000 ft MSL.
*only when requested by pilot.
*on the basis of WX conditions reported at the airport of intended landing/departure.
*when WX conditions are not reported at the airport of intended landing/ departure and the pilot advises that VFR cannot be maintained and requests SVFR.

Give an example of SVFR clearances for an a/c operating closed traffic.

Local SVFR operations in the immediate vicinity of YDAHP, are authorized until further notice, maintain SVFR conditions at or below two thousand, squawk 0474
