use the word “immediately” only when expeditious compliance is required to avoid an imminent situation

VOR/VORTAC/TACAN: state the word “victor” or the letter “j” followed by the number of the airway or route in group form.
VOR/VORTAC/TACAN alternate airways: state the words “victor” followed by the number of airways in group form and hr alternate direction.
ATS routes: state the letters of the route phonetically, followed by the number of the route in group form
when do you solicit a pirep?
when requested, deemed necessary, or any of the following conditions exist: ceiling at or below 5,000 ft, visibility at or less than 5 miles, thunderstorms or related phenomena, turbulence of moderate degree or greater, icing of light degree or greater, wind shear, breaking action report less than good, volcanic ash, sulfur gas
what information is included in a pirep?
time, aircraft position, type aircraft, altitude, when icing is included icing type and intensity, and air temperature in which icing is occurring
how is an estimated altimeter stated?
“estimated altimeter” followed by single digits
the altimeter settings should be obtained from what?
must be obtained from direct reading instruments or directly from weather reporting stations.
what are your actions if the pilot requests the altimeter settings in millibars?
ask the nearest weather reporting station for the equivalent millibar setting
