Is a planned logical progression of ones professional life that includes clearly defined goals and objectives and a plan for achievement.

What is step 1 in career management?
Is to know where you want to go professionally. This is the most difficult step.
What does introspection mean and what is the most effective way of introspection.
Introspection means looking inward at your own thoughts and feelings. The most effective way of introspection is journaling. (putting thoughts and ideas in a notebook).
What does core values mean?
the values that are most important to us. The values that define us a human being.
A clear statement of who you are and what you are about in life.
Mission statement
doing what you want, where you want, with the people you want. Implies a balance within professional, personal, social and spiritual.
Success
Objectives
are specific measures that you will take to achieve your goals. Should be specific and measurable, and must include a time frame for accomplishments.
What are the two types of 1st impressions and explain them?
Written: write clearly and not sloppy. Spell check your work.
Personal interview: prepare and present yourself as a serious prospect. Dress professionally and arrive early. Know their philosophy and mission statement. Share your plans for your future and professional growth.

When annual reviews are based on performances during the week or week preceding the reviews.
Artificial halo or horns effect
overrating a employee’s total performance based on a single positive event. EX: strong social skills and a pleasant personality masking poor performance. Friendship or shared interest with the manager.
Halo effect
Underrating an employee’s total performance based on a single negative event. EX: consistent good work but disagrees with manager. Poor physical appearance in dress, manners or hygiene.
