Physical- inappropriate touching, hitting

Physical neglect- failure to provide adequate food, shelter, medical care

Emotional abuse- constant criticism and rejection, inadequate nurturing

Sexual abuse- exploitation of children through rape, incest, and molestation by parents, family members, or legal guardians

Abandonment- Leaving child with intent to sever relationship
