Chapter 6.120 - Fuel Flashcards
What fuel tank feeds first?
Why?
Center tank
Center tank pumps produce higher pressure than main tank pumps
Where does remaining center tank fuel scavenge to?
When will this transfer begin?
To main tank number 1
When main tank number 1 quantity is about half
Where is the fuel temperature gauge located?
What is the maximum and minimum fuel temperature?
In main tank number 1
Maximum is 49 degrees Celsius and minimum is -37 degrees Celsius
Where does the APU fuel feed from?
- When AC pumps are operating, from the left side of the fuel manifold
- If the AC pumps are not operating, fuel is suction fed to APU from main tank number 1
What does a bright blue valve light indicate on the fuel panel?
- Related valve is in transit, or
- Disagrees with commanded position
What does the amber FILTER BYPASS light indicate?
Impending fuel filter bypass
What condition must be met to get a FUEL annunciator light?
- Illumination of both amber LOW PRESSURE lights in any tank
- If one of the center tank pumps is turned off this qualifies as a LOW PRESSURE indication and the FUEL annunciator light will illuminate with a LOW PRESSURE indication from the remaining center tank pump
What is a fuel limitation with regard to operating the electric hydraulic pumps on the ground?
Minimum of 1675 pounds in each wing tank to cool the case drain hydraulic fluid
When will the amber IMBAL message appear on the fuel quantity indicators?
When the main tanks differ by more than 1,000 pounds
