What causes the IRS ALIGN lights to flash?
A
- Significant difference between previous and entered positions ie; KORD when at KDEN
- Unreasonable present position ie; 95N, 185W
- No present position entry

What does the amber DC FAIL light indicate?
A
- That individual IRS isn’t able to go to it’s backup power source (switched hot battery bus)
- If both DC FAIL lights are illuminated there could be something wrong with the battery charger and you will lose hot battery bus and fire protection, LAND!

When will the amber ON DC light illuminate?
A
- The related IRS is operating on DC power from switched hot battery bus
- On momentarily during self-test when selector is moved out of OFF position
