Action Plans
Software based personal project management tool that organizes and prioritizes tasks associated with short, medium, and long range objectives.
Distress
Negative stress that diminishes employee performance and can have debilitating effects.
Eustress
Positive stress that presents an opportunity for personal growth and satisfaction, pushes employees to higher levels of performance.
Overload
extent to which an employee feels that the demands of their job are overwhelming and a source of pressure.
Role Conflict
Condition of competing or ambiguous job demands placed on an employee.
Activity log
A written record of how an individual spends their time at work
Job stress
The bodies harmful response to job demands that are inconsistent with an employee’s capabilities or out of an employee control
Time management
The process of effectively allocating time between specific activities to increase productivity
To do list
A written list of task prepared daily to support the completion of long and short range plans
Behavioral outcomes
Stress that can be seen in exhaustion, employee turnover, dissatisfaction, anger, withdrawals, over under eating and drug or alcohol abuse
Cognitive or mental outcomes
Stress that can make complex that process is more difficult, can be confusion, forgetfulness apathy, mental, slowness, indecisiveness, negativity, and reduced coping skills
Health related outcomes
Stress that may start out small, but overtime can lead to serious long-term health problems
Focus groups
Comprised of a diverse group of employees at the task level that meet periodically to identify the root causes and contributing factors to workplace stress
Exit interviews
Departing interviews for employees, leaving an organization to help identify stressors that have been suppressed or maybe a cost for concern for other current employee
Employee assistance program
Voluntary work based counseling programs that are designed to identify and assist employees who have personal and work related problems affecting their performance
