Chapter 6 - Schedule Management Flashcards
What are the different estimating techniques
1) One-Point Estimating = one estimate per activity (can be expert judgement or guess)
2) Analogous Estimating (Top-Down) = high level based on expert judgement (based on historical info)
3) Parametric Estimating = look at relationship between variables on an activity; Can use historical data
4) Three Point Estimating = considers uncertainty and risks
2 types of Parametric Estimating
1) Regression analysis (scatter diagram)
2) Learning curve
2 Types of 3 Point Estimating
1) Triangular (Simple average) = (P+O+M)/3
2) Beta Distribution (Weighted average) = (P+4M+0)/6
Output of parametric estimating. Generally accepted rule or best practice estimate
