Biographical Information Bank
a detailed job application form requesting biographical data found to be predictive of success on the job, pertaining to background, experience, and preferences. responses are totalled to obtain a score for each candidate
Human Capital Theory
Accumulation of firm-specific knowledge and experience involves a joint investment by both the employee and employer therefore both parties benefit from maintaining a long-term relationship

process of notifying current employees about vacant positions
Job Slotting
an internal recruitment process where manager personally identifies a preferred candidate for a vacancy, discusses the opportunity with the employee, and a places the target employee into the position if they are interested
