Simple question with limited answers

Questions using statements with five choices from strongly agree to strongly disagree

Questions with points either in order that can be chosen or that an be put in order

Guidance for everyone that is the same
Strengths of questionnaires?
Can use standardised instructions
Allow for informed consent
Allow for the right to withdraw
Can represent real life
Weaknesses of questionnaires?
Response bias
Social desirability bias
The need to hide the aims
What’s response bias?
The patterns that participants fall into when answering a questionnaire e.g always saying yes or trying to guess the aim
What’s social desirability bias?
When participants give the answers they think will be acceptable to other people to make themselves look better
