What is Stage 0?
Describes cancer that is still located in the same place it started and has not spread to nearby tissues: also known as “carcinoma in situ”.
Is Stage 0 curable?
often highly curable, usually by a surgically removing the entire tumor.
What is Stage 1?
A small tumor that has not spread to the lymph nodes or other parts of the body. often called early-stage cancer.
What is Stage 2 and Stage 3?
These two stages indicate larger tumors that have spread to lymph nodes but not other parts of the body.
What is Stage 4?
The cancer has spread to other parts of the body, most commonly the brain, lungs, liver or bones.
What is another name for Stage 4 (cancer)?
Advanced or Metastatic Cancer
