What is the difference between xylem and phloem?
xylem transports water and minerals through the plant.
phloem transports food molecules to all parts of the plant.
How does photosynthesis make food for the plant?
plants use carbon dioxide,sunlight and water to make food.
What is the difference between herbaceous and woody stems?
Herbaceous stems are soft thin and flexible. Woody stems are rigid and made of wood
What does the cuticle do for the plant?
it keeps the plant from drying out
How do nonvascular plants get the water they need?
through roots called rhizoids
What is the cell wall and what does it do for the cell?
it is a rigid structure that surrounds the cell and provides support

What is the difference between a monocot and a dicot?
the number of the cotyledons
What are the two types of roots and what is its function?
taproot and fibrous. Roots supply plants with water and minerals. Hold plants securely in soil. store extra food.

Both have seeds. gymnosperms do not produce flowers or fruit but angiosperms do.
