Q

Making salts from metals or insoluble bases

A

Gradually add a metal or insoluble base to acid until all acid has reacted. Filter mixture to remove excess solid reactant to leave a solution of is salt when water is evaporated and it crystallises.

Q

Titration (x6)

A

Pierre measures volume of alkali to put into conical flask and indicator is added. Swirl conical flask to mix. Pour acid into burette after washing with distilled water, record reading and open tap to release small amount of acid into conical flask, swirl, repeat until indicator changes colour. Record burette reading to get vol acid used. X3 and work out avg.
