How can you maintain the LVO qualification?

A

To maintain LVO qualification a pilot must have conducted in a suitably approved Flight Simulator:

• A minimum of two approaches using approved Category II/III procedures in conjunction with the OPC cycle. The approaches must include at least one
go-around and one landing at the lowest authorised RVR.

• At least one LVTO using the lowest authorised RVR.

What are the required Low Visibility Operations – Training and Qualifications before commencing Category II/III operations?

A
  • 50 hours or 20 sectors on the type, including line flying under supervision.
  • 100 m must be added to the applicable Category II or Category III RVR minima unless she has previously qualified for Category II or III operations with a Community Operator, until a total of 100 hours or 40 sectors, including line flying under supervision, has been achieved on the type.
