How long die the Route and Aerodrome Competence Qualification last?
12 calendar months in addition to the remainder of:
- The month of qualification.
- The month of the latest operation on the route or to the aerodrome.
What is Flight Crew Recent Experience?
A pilot shall not operate as a flight crew member unless she has carried out at least 3 take-offs and 3 landings as an operating pilot in an aeroplane or an
approved flight simulator, of the type to be used, in the preceding 45 days.
How can you maintain the LVO qualification?
To maintain LVO qualification a pilot must have conducted in a suitably approved Flight Simulator:
• A minimum of two approaches using approved Category II/III procedures in conjunction with the OPC cycle. The approaches must include at least one
go-around and one landing at the lowest authorised RVR.
• At least one LVTO using the lowest authorised RVR.
What are the required Low Visibility Operations – Training and Qualifications before commencing Category II/III operations?
- 50 hours or 20 sectors on the type, including line flying under supervision.
- 100 m must be added to the applicable Category II or Category III RVR minima unless she has previously qualified for Category II or III operations with a Community Operator, until a total of 100 hours or 40 sectors, including line flying under supervision, has been achieved on the type.
