5.2.15.1 Who may provide Relief of the Commander

A

The Commander may be relieved in flight by:
Another Commander; or
For operations above FL200, another flight crew member, who holds a valid ATPL.

5.2.18.2 what are the First Officer Operational Limitations

A

Take-off Limitations – A First Officer may not conduct the take-off if:
The runway is contaminated; or
The crosswind component exceeds 20 kts; or
The visibility is 500 m or less.
The departure is a CAT B** or a CAT C aerodrome (refer to Section 8.1.2.5).
Landing Limitations – A First Officer may not conduct the landing if:
The approach conducted was a CAT II/III ILS; or
The runway is contaminated; or
The crosswind component exceeds 20 kts; or
The approach conducted was a CAT I ILS with autoland or CAT 1 GLS with autoland; or
The destination is a CAT B** or a CAT C aerodrome (refer to Section 8.1.2.5);
For non-normal/abnormal condition refer to 1.5.4.1.
During Nomination as Commander Training, a Training Captain may, at his discretion, allow the trainee to conduct an autoland, and to operate the aircraft to FCOM crosswind limitations.
