A
- low-level kind of sensory awareness and responsiveness that occurs when the mind inputs sensations and may output behavior
ex. ) someone pokes you in your sleep and you turn over.

A
-when you know and are able to report your mental state. Ex.) when you have a hurt leg and mindlessly rub it. Pain isn’t that bad, until you are fully aware of it. Thats when pain becomes more unbearable.

A
- persons attention is drawn to the self as an object. ex) most people experience this when they are embarrassed , or when they find themselves the focus of attention in a group

- they have sedative or calming effects , tend to induce sleep in high doses, and produces both physical and psychological dependence.
