different operations in organization will help accomplish overall focus or strategy - financial, marketing, HR

short term activities to implement strategic plan

policies, procedures, and budgets

each budget is brand new - after each time period you start over

trying to predict future

set objectives and standards together

allow others to participate and be invloved in planning process, good for whole organization, what do others think?, ask questions
