reevaluation that takes place in the triage unit of the severity of a patient’s condition and priority for treatment/transport
secondary triage
in a multiple-casualty incident, the unit that monitors, inventories, and directs available ambulances to treatment unit at the request of the transport officer
staging unit
in a multiple-casualty incident, the unit that coordinates patient transportation with triage and staging units. Its officer communicates with the officer involved.
