Implantation
As the zygote travels down the fallopian tube, it divides continuously, forming a hollow ball of cells called a blastocyst. It then buries in the uterus know as implantation.
amniotic fluid
The embryo is encased with amniotic fluid which acts as a cushion to keep a constant temperature and protects it.
embryo
First 8 weeks of pregnancy baby is known as embryo, it forms the most important organs. Baby is very vunerable.
The Placenta
Villi from the blastocyst form the placenta, membranes that allow oxygen for the baby, and releases waste to the mother. The umbilical cord connects the placenta to the baby.
The foetus
by week 9, major organs are mostly formed
Gestation
This refers to the length of time that the baby develops in the womb
