- Bacterial: TB, pneumonia

- Malignancies: lymphoma, sarcoma, carcinoma

Antiviral therapy: maternal
A
recommended in all HIV + women 14-24 weeks
- continue until labor
- used to prevent risk of transmission

begin drug regimen 8-12 hrs after birthd and continue for 6 weeks
