What is meant by the term “Hakka”?
Hakka in Chinese means ‘guest people’ as the Hakas were originally people from central China, and had slowly moved to the southern parts of China.

Walled villages that were typically designed for defensive purposes. These had only one entrance and no windows at the ground level.
