Rome began in 753BC, it became a republic in 509 BC, it became an empire at 31BC and collapsed at 476AD

Aqueducts, walls, amphitheatres and baths featured in many Roman towns. Aqueducts were used to transport fresh water to the town, walls were used to defend the towns, amphitheatres were where gladiatorial games were held, and public baths were a place to relax, socialise and keep the citizens clean.
What was the difference between the clothes worn by patricians and plebians?
Patrician men wore expensive togas and patrician women wore expensive stolas whereas plebian women wore cheaper material stolas and plebian men wore cheap tunics.

Atrium, culina, tablinian and slave quarters usually featured in a domus. An atrium was a central courtyard to meet guests in, Culina was the kitchen in a domus, a tablinian was the study room in a domus and finally the slave quarters was an area specifically for slaves

The insulae got worse the higher they were and whole family’s would share one room amongst themselves
Name one way people became slaves in Rome
People regularly became slaves when parents sold their children if they had very little money or were in debt

Boys (sometimes girls) aged 7-12 went to ludus to learn reading, writing and arithmetic, at age 12 boys could go to grammaticus, to learn history, grammar, geometry and literature from Greek and Roman writers, and at age 16 boys were learned oratory (public speaking), from a rhetor.

Chariot racing was a form of entertainment in ancient Rome, that used to take place in the Circus Maximus (an arena specifically made for chariot racing which could seat up to 250,000 people). They raced around the track seven times at incredibly high speeds. There was often crashes that killed men and horses.
What religion were the ancient Romans originally, and what did they become later?
Romans were originally a polytheist civilisation meaning they recognised and worshipped many gods and goddesses. They later followed Christianity.
Name 3 ways that ancient Rome has influenced our world today.
Ancient Romen has infleuenced our world after the Julian Calendar was invented by Julius Caesar (now known as the Gregorian calendar after a few small changes in it), architecture (aqueducts, Roman arches),and they even invented concrete what is used across the world today.
