is the ability of public employees to make decisions interpreting the law and administrative regulations

Those who are on the front lines making decisions that directly affect American lives

the people hold the ultimate power
What does limited government mean?
the government does not have too much power. There are checks and balances to make sure one branch is not more powerful than another
What does pluralism mean?
that no one group dominates another, and policy makers should engage with multiple stakeholders
What role do interest groups have in public admin?
They can share their opinion and they lobby public administers that share the same beliefs.
what are subsystem politics?
any political alliance uniting some members of an administrative agency, a legislative committee or subcommittee, and an interest group according to shared values and preferences in the same substantive area of policy making
