to vote, run, participate in elections at least once every 5 years
have parliament meet at least once a year

vote for a candidate i agree with/support, lets me be informed about the government’s actions

- move to and earn a living in any province
- enter, stay in, or leave Canada freely
- move to another province (for uni or anything else)
- move to another country for better weather

what do they allow you to do?
- to be innocent until proven guilty
- to a quick, fair, public trail
- police cant arrest or search without probable cause
- cases/verdicts are public record

- to know and follow the law
- to show up for court, or serving jury duty (if called)

what does this mean for you?
- to be free, or live freely from discrimination
– against race, gender, skin color, religion, etc
- expect equal pay for equal effort (as a woman)
- not be denied a job/place due to skin color

- have the same respect for other groups of people
(catholics respect other religions, etc)
