Is converted into the epididymis, vas deferents and the seminal vesicles by testosterone
Müllerian ducts
Develop into vagina, uterus and Fallopian tubes
LH
Acts in endocrine cells to stimulate production of sex hormones. In females it plays a roll in gamete production/release
FSH
Plays a role in gamete production
Long loop feedback
GnRH release by the hypothalamus. LH and LSH release by the anterior pituitary
Short loop feedback
GnRH release by the hypothalamus
Leydig cells
Produces testosterone. Go to Sertoli cells. Converted to DHt. Accumulate in the linen with the help of ABP
Sertoli cells
Androgen bonding protein, inhibin, enzymes (convert t into dht)
Follicular phase
Proliferation of granulosa cells, development of Antrum, maturation of oocytes
Ovulation
Ripened follicle bursts, releasing oocyte
Luteal phase
Ruptured follicle develops into corpus luteum
Proliferative phase
Endometrium grows in preparation for pregnancy
Secretory phase
Endometrial secretions promote implantation
