Solid organs
Spleen, liver, pancreas, and kidneys

Peritoneum
Membrane that lines abdominal cavity and covers organs
Retroperitonal
Area posterior to the peritoneum, between peritoneum and back
Visceral pain
Poorly localized/dull pain coming from abdominal organs or viscera
Parietal pain
Localized/intense pain coming from peritoneum
Cholecystitas
Gallbladder inflammations, often caused by blockage of bile by gallstones
Pancreatitis
inflammation of the pancreas, an organ located behind the stomach
Gastrointestinal bleeding
Bleeding within the GI tract, esophagus to rectum
Abdominal aortic aneurysm
bulging or enlargement of the aorta
Dissection
Hypertension caused bleed in a vein between the inner and outer walls
Hypertension
high blood pressure
Hernia
Hole in the muscle layer of abdominal wall allowing organs like intestines to push through against the skin
Renal colic
Severe flank pain caused by kidney stones
Cardiac involvement
Pain from MI felt as abdominal discomfort
