The excessive formation of gas and air in the stomach and intestines. Caused by swallowing air, bacteria action in the intestines, constipation, gas forming foods, bowel surgeries.

Privacy, habits and when, diet (fiber), other foods (milk, veggies), fluids, activity, drugs, age, and disability

low-fiber diet, drugs, inactivity, some disease, decreased fluid intake
Bowel training for
gaining control of bowels and developing a regular pattern of elimination
Enemas
tap water enema, saline enema is for children, soapsuds enema (SSE) which can irritate bowels with strong soap, small-volume enema 5-10 minutes for children, oil-retention enema 30-60 minutes or longer and not a cleansing and also for children
