There were easy to spot and usually lived on the West coast.

What is rationing?
Conserving food, gasoline, and other important supplies to limit civilian use and send more to the war effort.

The Jews

Lighting warfare, used all of German power to override countries.
Who was Hitler?
German dictator, wrote “Mein Kampf”. It outlined his hatred for Jews and the support he had for Germany being an empire.
What did Hitler tell the public he was doing to the Jews?
Sending them to concentration camps to make them good German citizens.
What did Hitler want for Germany?
For it to become a powerful third Reich.

Prime minister of Great Britain, which at one point was the only country standing against Hitler.

Government controlling everything, ex. Stalin controlling society, culture, economy.

Out of fear for the Soviet Union’s power.

Where FDR, Stalin, and Churchill met to discuss postwar plans.

Allied forces landing on Normandy beach in France, getting closer to Hitler.

The biggest and most famous concentration camps.
What is genocide?
Mass killing of a certain race or religion.
What did Hitler ban Jews from?
Working in the government, owning a business, and banning marriage with someone who wasn’t a Jew.
What was Hitler’s Final Solution?
Extermination of the Jews.
Why couldn’t countries open their borders to Jews who were trying to escape?
Because of the Great Depression, they had to focus on their own citizens.
