What is the 14th amendment?
The STATE and LOCAL governments cannot deprive citizens “life, liberty, or property” without due process of law
What is due process?
Government must act fairly and reasonably and in accord with established rules
What is substantive due process?

What is the 13th amendment?
No slavery
What is the 2nd amendment?
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, for the right of the people to keep and bear arms

What are the five parts of a fair trail?
Timely, public, impartial, jury, lawyer
What is the 5th amendment?
Double jeopardy and self incrimination

Public trial, trial by jury, right to an attorney
What is the 8th amendment?
No excessive bail, cruel and unusual punishment
