Accreditation
formal recognition to an organization indicating that it meets certain prescribed quality standards
Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO)
oldest and largest health care standards organization in the country; accredits ambulatory health care facilities
Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF)
nonprofit agency that sets quality standards for rehabilitation services and facilities
Forecast
prediction of future conditions based on various statistics and indicators that describe an athletic program’s past and present situation
WOTS UP Analysis
data collection and appraisal technique designed to determine an organization’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in order to facilitate planning
Operational Plan
plan that defines organizational activities in the short term, usually no longer than two years
Policy
plan that expresses an organizations intended behavior relative to a specific program sub-function

Criteria
quantifiable measures used to determine whether a particular objective has been accomplished
Outcomes Assessment
evaluation methods that seeks objective evidence that the care provided by the ATC enhanced a patient’s functional ability
