making.
elements of art
The —- are the building blocks of all art.
Every piece of art ever created includes on or more of
these elements.
elements of art
elements of art
line, color, shape, form, value, space, and
texture.
- It is a mark made upon
a surface. In order to be a —-,
the mark’s length must be
longer than its width.
1.Line
- —– may be two or three
dimensional, descriptive,

and depth.
- Form –
principles of design
- Balance
- Emphasis
- Pattern
- Repetition
- Proportion
- Rhythm
- Variety
- Unity
is the distribution of the visual weight of objects, colors, textures, and
space
Balance –
the elements used on one side of the design are similar to
those on the other side
Symmetrical balance,
, the sides are different but still look balanced.
Asymmetrical balance

or symbol all overt the
work of art.
- Pattern –

is the feeling
of unity created when all
parts (size, amounts, or
number) relate well with
each other.
- Proportion –
is created when one or more elements of design
are used repeatedly to create a feeling or organized movement.
- Rhythm -
- is the use
of several elements of
design to hold the
