Statistics

A piece of information you gather using your senses
Hypothesis
Testable idea or explanation that leads to a scientific investigation
Prediction
A logical statement about what will happen if the hypothesis is supported

A procedure designed to test a hypothesis under control conditions
Variable
The factor of intrest
Experimental Group
The group that receives the experimental treatment
Control Group
The group that does not recieve the experimental treatment
Data
The information scientists gather that is often numerical
Correlation
Association between two or more events
